You might be wondering who in the world is Insert your name here. and why is she so bubbly? Why is she hosting “Virtual Posture Summit, “Summit Scripts Summit”? These are all really good questions.

My guess is that you probably are skeptical. Telling you that I want to help you get on podcasts may not be enough. Let me share a little bit more about myself. At first, I really didn't want anything to do with media or the world of podcast.

I spent 10 years in TV news and I thought that ship was sinking and I knew that I wanted to get out of it. Fast forward as few years and I gave birth to my first born, a little boy who I just fell in love with. That's when it hit me. I had to find a way to get out of my nine to five job and really create something that I was excited about and something that I could do while being with my newborn son.

I knew that the only way I could grow my business, transition out of my nine to five, and be a great mom was by doing remote media interviews that I could do on my own schedule. In those first few years, that's what I did. I would do interviews once a week. Some were radio interviews, some were summit or podcast interviews. I was able to schedule the interviews with the little time that I had. All while still transitioning about of my nine to five, having a crazy commute, and raising my son.

After a few years, I realized that I had created a best practice by accident. I created a way to do media on my terms. I was able to expand my audience, gain notoriety and recognition in my industry. I was one of the most sought after media experts when it comes to getting people featured on prime time TV. 

Around this time, I had a second wake-up call when my family and I were in Ghana. (My husband is Ghanaian). We typically travel there once a year for my kids to see their grandparents. On our visit two years ago we decided we wanted to take a trip. We went by boat to visit one of the beaches. We were on a small wooden boat without any life jackets. While on they way there, the boat tipped over. My daughter an I both fell into the sea. Thankfully, I knew how to swim. We were rescued and were fine. But I got a real wake up call then and there. Life is now and I didn't want to play around with getting my message out there, reaching new people, making the impact that I knew that God put me here to create or to make.

That's when I really started to think about the people who don't really understand the power of publicity and the power of doing media. So often I hear people say they're not ready, or they'll wait until they have a book, or they just have so many misconceptions about being able to get featured. I get that is can be scary doing television. Often I tell my clients to start with podcasts.

Whether you want to get featured on a podcast or you want to host your own podcast, there's so much availability there to be able to practice your message, to test your message and also to leverage podcasts in a way that can accelerate your progress and business. 

Whether that's increasing your conversions on sales calls, helping you collaborate with other people that are industry leaders, helping you use the momentum of being featured on a podcast around your book, or other special events that you're doing. I just see it as a great win-win. The cool thing about podcast is that you can do it from all over the world!

This brings me to one of my big principles: elevate your expertise formula. It's really a matter of thinking about what are the things that you're an expert in? What are the points of view that you have? What are the areas that you naturally get excited about? Start there. Think about the theme of your podcast, or the types of podcasts you would like to get featured on. Start by looking at what inherently is your zone of genius. Podcasts are a great way to create momentum in your business.

I've curated the best of the best when it comes to this topic. I've made it a point to make the interviews short and digestible so that you can carve out 15-20 minutes on the day we go live to really get valuable strategies to help you create some magic in your business.

Over the years, I have been honored to work with many entrepreneurs to get them featured on the media, and you know what the biggest thing is that sets apart the successful from the not-so-successful?
