You may be thinking who the heck is the Mark T Wade dude and why the heck is he so big on scaling, and why is he hosting the “Virtual Posture Summit, “Summit Scripts Summit”.  Valid questions.  If I just said, I want to help you get to Six Figures, would that be enough??   Ok, yeah, I didn’t think so.   Well it starts in Iraq during wartime. 


I got my first real wake up call at 20 years old when I was sent to Iraq to fight in the war.  On the ground, force protection real crazy shit that no 20 year old wants to be involved in.  Especially since 3 months before that I was finishing my second year in Pre-Med at the University of Missouri!  (MIZ – ZOU!!!).  


But that lesson taught me something that impacted my whole life.  Legacy.  I realized if I died tomorrow I would quickly be forgotten, and that scared the living sh!t out of me.  So I vowed to leave a legacy and I have been voracious in my attempt to create one ever since.  


Skip forward a few years and a couple of doctorates later, and it’s looking pretty good.  I am a multi-millionaire, with a kick ass online business (transitioned from Brick & mortar to online), traveling the world, in amazing 7 & 8 figure masterminds hanging with the who’s who in online influencers, feeling pretty good about myself.  


That’s when I got wake up call #2.  That’s when I lost a Multi-Million dollar business… overnight.  


Everyone focuses on making the money.  They never tell you how to build the business. 


I was good at making money.  Between the One Day Summit Formula, our Virtual Summits, and our product launches, I was a wiz kid.  I could make money, but I never built out a scalable business. 


Granted I was fortunate because most people never even get to that level, but in reality it hurt 10 times worse.  Going from having it all, to looking your team in the eyes and letting them go one by one.  Not knowing how you are going to pay rent next month.  Having to tell my family that I can’t afford to come visit because I don’t have enough gas money.  Honestly looking for jobs as a waiter (even with 2 doctorates).  


Pretty much the epitome of failure. 


It was one of the lowest points in my life.  Hell it still hurts right now just thinking about it.  But I did not let that define me. 


That’s when I gave myself a hard look in the mirror and said “It’s Scale Or Fail & It’s YOUR CHOICE”.   What’s it going to be?  Give up?  Feel sorry for yourself?  Talk about the “glory days” for the rest of your life while you mop up a dirty bar floor?  


Or suck it up, get over yourself, work harder than you ever have before and build a freaking empire?    

I chose the later.  I went back to the basics, implemented our Summit Formula, followed by the Hustle Funnel Principles & quickly scaled the business back up to a million dollar company, which now remains a titan in it’s industry.  

Looking back, I can’t believe I considered giving up.  However, during that period of difficulty and challenge, it made perfect sense.  Nothing seemed to work, it felt like the world was against me, and there was no easy way out. 


If you are feeling anything similar to that, and wondering if it’s possible or not, it is.  Really it’s actually easier than any of us actually imagined.  You just need to have a strategy to make it happen. 


It’s impossible to scale and last without 3 things.  1. A UEP (Unique Expert Position) 2) Knowing where you are going (vision), 3) Strategy to scale (Hustle Funnel). 4) People (traffic)


If you want to get to six figures you need to do it right.  You need a strategy.  You need to stop wasting time just blindly building things out to sell.  You need a customer journey.  You need a simple step-by-step strategy to keep you on track. 


I use the Hustle Funnel, which I created after looking at all of the successful online influencers that have lasted.  I found they have 4 key components of their business.  And once I found that out, it became so much easier.  


Every time I see a side hustler struggling, or a Six/Seven Figure Scaler going through a down turn it hurts me.  I feel that pain because I know that struggle.  


So now I do everything possible to help Side Hustlers & Scalers  (hence: Hustle & Scale) to get to that next level and build a scalable and long lasting company so they can leave their legacy in the world.

Em X1 - Problems 1 - Why money is important

Subject: Being Broke is not noble.

I’ve been thinking, and since you signed up for the free pass to the “Virtual Posture Summit, “Summit Scripts Summit”, you are obviously interested in scaling to that next Six Figure level.  (which is pretty freakin exciting).  


Likely you have a pretty strong feeling inside of how bad you want to get to that next level.  Like an elephant stepping on your chest kind of strong.  That can be a good thing, and that can also be a bad thing.  That pressure can drive you to get laser focused on your mission at hand.  It can amplify all the important details and hone your senses like some kind of Tony Stark super hero sidekick.  


It can also sometimes with out notice shift into a heavy almost paralyzing pressure.  The kind that feels like “Oh Sh!t how am I going to pay rent”,   and “these bills are stacking up, this has to hit soon or I’m finished”.   


I know what both of those feel like.  I love that intense, I can conquer the world focus that comes on, and man do I hate those late night eyes wide open panic attacks that come from worrying about where the money is going to come from.  


So I want to let you know first and foremost – no matter what happens, you are going to be ok.  I promise you, I’ve hit rock bottom, lost it all, and even though it was an emotionally tough time, I came back.  I rebuilt, even better than before implementing the lessons learned, and was better off from it, like when the Spice Girls got back together.   


But I don’t want you to go through that pain.  Instead just learn from some of us who have done it already and let’s get you up to that level as quickly as possible.  


The point of this email is to let you know that 1) If you have any internal feelings about money being bad (root of all evil, blah blah blah) it’s time to squash it.  2) If you don’t focus on it, and set your goals (vision) you’ll never be able to hit it.  


Many people feel embarrassed, or wrong for wanting to make a lot of money.  Making a lot of money is a good thing.  It gets you out from underneath that elephant’s foot that is crushing you.  It also let’s you do more good things.  Like help more people, take care of your family, donate to good causes, etc.   Being broke doesn’t help anyone.  


Without a vision no goals can be accomplished.  If you don’t know where you are going, you can’t figure out how to get there.  Now lucky for you, you got a free pass to the “Virtual Posture Summit, “Summit Scripts Summit”.  You are about to get that strategy.  


So get excited, and get ready.  Come prepared to take notes, and even plan some free time in your next week so you can spend some time implementing these strategies.

Em X2 - Problems 2 - Importance of a strategy

Have you ever been spelunking?  This is the exploration of caves, typically a type of hobby.  I am more of a lay on the beach, corona in hand kind of guy, but to each their own.  


The reference is to make a point.  One that is pretty important to the success of your entrepreneurial journey.  In spelunking these adrenaline junkies wander into a dark cave with a few flashlights and some rope, crawling through crevices and repelling down internal caverns.  Ugh, I’m getting the willies just thinking about those tight spaces.  


When they do this they are typically with a guide who has a map of the caves, and a strategy on how to get in and out.   Otherwise Spelunking probably wouldn’t have caught on.  “hey lets go get lost in a cave and never come back out”.  Yeah, where’s the beach again? 

This holds true with business as well.  If you want to scale your side hustle, you need to have a strategy. 


Back 10 – 15 years ago if you wanted to start a business, you had to write a business plan, scout out a location, negotiate leases, hire employees, go to the bank and present your 5 year plan showing how it would be profitable.   It was a process that took thought, contemplation, and planning.  


The problem these days is that it is so easy to start a business (which is a good thing) that most of us just rush in like a poodle on a sugar rush.   No strategy, no plan, honestly no clue as to what we are doing. 


This is the beauty of us Side Hustlers, we are motivated and willing to do the work.  But we need to have a strategy as well.  


The problem is where do we find that strategy?  Last time I checked there was no start up manual that covered this.  They sure didn’t discuss it when I got my doctorate, and I’m willing to bet they didn’t discuss it with you either.  (who is this mysterious “they” anyways)


Essentially, we are on our own here.  Luckily for you we have the “Virtual Posture Summit, “Summit Scripts Summit”, where we will be hearing some specific strategies on how to scale a side hustle.  


After I lost my multi-million dollar company, I had to figure out a strategy.  I learned it the hard way.  (I don’t recommend that if you can avoid it).   Now I know what the strategy is for scaling a business.  


Crazy part is it isn’t very complicated.  It’s actually quite simple.  My flaw in my first business was I didn’t have membership.   No membership means no recurring revenue.  Which means at some point when you hit a bump in the road the business is going to crumble, which it did. 


Luckily l was able to rebuild it and you bet your sweet tulips I put a membership program in it this time around.  


The scaling strategy is what I plan to discuss on the “Virtual Posture Summit, “Summit Scripts Summit” so be sure you show up for it.  Might just save you a million dollar business.  It will for sure give you the strategy to scale to six figures!

Em x4: Problem 4: Unfair advantage

Subject: Do you have a disadvantage or Unfair Advantage?

Does it ever feel like everyone you see and hear about in online business has an unfair advantage?   Like, of course they are doing well.  They already have a big list, or resources to spend on ads, or their funnels all built out, their products all created.    I mean if we had that we would be super successful too right? 


Of course we can build that but it’s going to take years (or longer) to get to that level, and I want it now!!!   Do you ever just wish someone would literally just give you a game plan, a strategy that you could follow step by step and get to that next level?


I know I dreamt of that every time I was struggling.  Every time a webinar only had 4 people show up live.  Every time my sales offer came back with a big 0.   


That’s the tough part about Entrepreneurship.  No one gives you the game plan when you get started.  Then even if you find someone to give you some advice it’s either crappy advice (free) or not the right advice (expensive) or it just seems too complicated. 


You have to sort through, whom do I get advice from?  Where do I look for that strategy?  How do I know it’s a good strategy?


Couple easy ways to tell.  


1. They are living & using their strategy.   

Too many “Guru’s” &  Coaches out there are teaching a strategy that sounds awesome on paper, but it’s not something they have ever done.  Blows my mind that people can do this, and others pay for it. 


I mean I couldn’t imagine teaching the Hustle Funnel, but not using it.  How unaligned would that be, and how would I know what worked or didn’t work.  But I see it happening all the time.  


2. They have had success & failure, and succeeded again. 

Too often someone has some success, they do well in a business, and then it goes under or falls apart, or they lose interest.  Now this is completely normal. Almost everyone will experience this.  The part that sets a real Influencer apart from a faker, is can they do it again.  


I can tell you first hand it’s not difficult to make money.  My first Multi-Million dollar business was a beauty.  It was revered and admired by many.  Until it went bottom up almost over night.  I thought I knew what the hell I was doing until that happened.  Then I realized I had no idea.  So I set out on a mission to rebuild it.  


It was hard and difficult, but I learned so much more when I rebuilt it the second time.  I built it correctly, and learned what caused it to break, and how to prevent it in the future.  


It would have been SOOOO EASY to just walk away and start teaching people about how to build a business, I mean hell I had built a Multi-Million dollar one.  The problem is, I would be teaching people how to build a shitty business.  (Which is what is happening out there everyday). 


3. They have social proof

What I mean by this is they have credibility.  They have other influencers who recommend them, who support them, and stand beside them.  They also have proof from students/clients that they have accomplished a job well done. 


I can tell you as an influencer I don’t put my name on much.  I mean that’s my name, right. The most valuable thing I have.  And I can also tell you as I built relationships with influencers like John Lee Dumas, Pat Flynn, Jeff Walker, Ryan Deiss, Andrew Warner, Lewis Howes, etc. that it didn’t happen overnight.  They didn’t just like me and say ok, I’ll support you.  


I had to prove my authenticity, brand, my credibility and myself for a long while to make those relationships.   If the guru you are looking into doesn’t have multiple credible influencers backing them, then run!!  There is a reason. 


These influencers I have brought together for you on the “Virtual Posture Summit, “Summit Scripts Summit” meet EACH of those standards.  Otherwise they wouldn’t be on this accelerator.  


So get ready to get some amazing strategies from credible, awesome influencers.
